2 Things to Get & 2 Things to Know

2 Things to Get & 2 Things to Know

Crossroads Vision & Financial Update

I hope you are having a great summer. It is so great getting to reconnect to so many of our part-time members during this time of year. We were so excited to celebrate with our church family as we baptized 10 kids in June! We will celebrate baptism again on Sunday July 31st. We invite you to come join in the celebration and let us know if you are interested in baptism. I hope you will take some time to read about some great things going on and things to be part of.

Get Re:newed!
Re:new is our healing and counseling ministry that is headed up by Dan and Kristen Kail. Under this umbrella is our restoration and recovery ministry called Re:gen which is headed up by Eric and Allison Mangelson. We are very excited about the testimonies of freedom coming out of this ministry. We are very thankful to have Chuck and Michelle Bolton here for a month as they are training several of our married couples to lead Re:engage, which is a ministry for married adults. Also, under the Re:new umbrella is our Re:new pre-marital and Re:new marriage enrichment ministry. And finally, Re:new healing prayer is our ministry focusing on healing and deliverance. If you have any questions about any of these ministry opportunities please contact Dan Kail at Roaring Fork Valley Christian Counseling (970-510-5851). Dan provides professional Christian counseling and therapy throughout the Roaring Fork Valley.

Get Equipped!
Starting this September, Wednesday nights will become our primary equipping time. From 6-8pm every Wednesday night we will hold e4 equipping classes in the sanctuary and in the fireplace room, Re:gen classes will continue to be held upstairs, and our middle school ministry, XGT, will be held in the basement.

Our e4 Global Equipping School schedule is set up so all four classes can be taken within two years.

Fall 2016:
e4 Faith and Power class (beginning of year 1)
e4 Healing and Deliverance class (beginning of year 2)

Winter 2017:
e4 Holy Spirit class (second class of year 1)
e4 Leadership Development class (second class of year 2)

These classes are nine weeks long meeting every Wednesday night from 6-8pm. We encourage you to pray about making some margin in your schedule to get equipped! Registration will begin in mid-August.

VBS and Children’s Ministry Staff Changes
We are sad to announce that Sarah Taylor, our Director ofChildren’s Ministry, is moving to Fort Collins this summer. We are going to greatly miss her and her family. Sarah has done an amazing job leading our children’s ministry. Her passion and giftedness has taken our children’s ministry to a whole new level. Sarah’s husband, Kyle, has also been involved in leadership here and with Young Life. Kyle will be taking a new position as an industrial arts teacher at a High School in Fort Collins. We hate to see them go, but we are excited for their new chapter.

And thanks to Sarah and her amazing team and volunteers for another impactfulVacation Bible School touching the lives of almost one hundred children!

Giving & Financial Update
First, I want to thank the Crossroads Family for being very generous and sponsoring 22 inner city kids for camp this summer! Also, many thanks to our generous underwriters for our InspireSong Conference this past spring. It was such a success we will host  again next year.

Our current year general fund as of the end of the 2ndQuarter is down $145,000.00. Please pray about your regular giving to the ongoing operating budget of the church.

Grace, Growth and Greater Things,

Steve Woodrow
