Dan was born and raised in quaint area of Upstate, New York. Coming from a very athletic family and being given a 6’6” frame to play around with, sports quickly became his life. After his dream career as a professional athlete didn’t quite pan out he gave his life to business. But in 1988, while working a 3-year project in Richmond, VA, Dan began helping out with a local Young Life ministry and through it gave his life to the Lord instead. “Clearly, the best decision of my life!” Within a couple of years, Dan started traveling the world extensively either playing for a Christian sports team, speaking or ministering in some other capacity. Through it all Dan saw the global disconnect between people and church and he began to develop a deep burden to help the church become relevant again. After graduating from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1999, Dan worked as a pastor/ski-instructor in Vail, Colorado for 5 years before being offered his dream-job in 2005 with Crossroads Church. He loves his position at the church and the opportunity to live and work in a community that is planting and influencing churches around the world. Personally, Dan loves the quaintness of Aspen, the plethora of fun activities, the outdoors, great food and the arts. In his spare time he is either working out, hiking, on his bike, traveling or acting. Dan is single but looks forward to marrying and have a family some day.
