Grounded is a ministry for moms that focuses on biblical parenting and equipping parents to raise their children in the way of the Lord (Proverbs 22:6). Our goal is to plant the seeds to grow, nurture, and strengthen our children to be followers of Christ. Grounded provides moms with biblical resources and encouragement, and connects moms together.
We meet on the third Thursday of each month from 11:00am - 1:00pm (Please note the new time). Our guest speaker speaks from 11:00am -12:00pm and then we will follow with lunch and discussion.
This month's Grounded will take place on February 16, and our guest speaker will be Alana Appleby and Holly Wilson. Alana and Holly will be speaking on the "Fun Factor".
Alana Appleby has lived in Aspen for 24 years. She has been married to Blake for 18 years, and they have two teenage boys Ben and Alex. Living in a house with 4 boys (Cooper the dog included) she is well versed in sports, stinky laundry and an endless grocery list. She suffers from OOD (obsessive optimism disorder) and is known to be very loud which she blames on having a deaf sister.
Holly and her husband, David, moved from the wheat fields of Kansas to the mountains of Aspen 2 1/2 years ago. They have been married 25 years and have 4 boys: Johnny (22), Noah (20), Zach (18) and Nick (16) and a dog appropriately named Sister. With less tummies to fill, fewer messes to clean and an empty nest looming in the horizon, Holly's current project is opening a store in Willits so she can finally do all those girlie things she's been dreaming about for 22 years.
A light lunch and childcare is provided. Please bring a lunch for your child (no nuts!). Be sure to register for this event, click Grounded Registration.
