It’s Friday but Sunday is a Coming!

It’s Friday but Sunday is a Coming!

Empty-TombI hope that you have had time this Passion Week to get time alone with the Lord and have Him enlarge your heart. I love the words of that famous sermon given many years ago: “It’s Friday but Sunday is a Coming!” And this should not be encouragement for us just this time a year, but encouragement to live on everyday. The sin, darkness and hopelessness surrounding the gruesome history of Good Friday too often overtakes us. However, Jesus defeated the power of sin and death, so that the tomb of our lives could become a temple of the Holy Spirit full of eternal life. Our lives are a tomb destined for separation from God until we welcome Jesus inside, who brings new life to our lives, transforming us from a tomb to a temple!

We welcome you to join the Crossroads family as we celebrate this Resurrection Sunday at either 8:30am or 10:30am in Aspen. We are going to have an awesome celebration! I will be sharing from 1 Corinthians 15:1-11, and asking the question, “I am what I am because of…” So, please come expecting great things!

Crossroads will also meet at 10am in Glenwood at the home of Tim and Marina O’Keefe for an Easter celebration, brunch and egg hunt.

We encourage you to take advantage of this weekend and invite your friends and family to church with you. We will offer an Easter follow up class the next threeSundays after Easter at 8:30am. It will be a casual time of interaction about Easter and Christianity with plenty of time for Q/A.

Lastly, I encourage you to check out my newest blog, Easter: Faith, Facts & Feelings at www.ccaspen.com or www.stephenwoodrow.com. In it I deal with some of the evidence behind the resurrection of Jesus and list several great resources for you to go deeper if you would like.

Because of Easter, we have been changed from a Tomb to a Temple!

Resurrection Blessings,
