Year End 2014 Vision & Financial Report

Year End 2014 Vision & Financial Report

Merry Christmas and Blessed New Year!

I hope this email finds you prospering and in good health and strengthened in your spirit (3 John 2). Also, that during this Christmas season you are encouraged by the Gospel, knowing that God loves you and has great things for you. I know this is a busy time of year and that we all get many emails, but I hope you will take some time to read this update so you can be encouraged by where we have been and where we are going.

Stewardship/Financial Update

First, I want to commend our church community on being a gracious and giving church family. I rejoice as I hear stories of people serving and giving to the needs of one another and even sacrificial giving to others. God’s blessings are amazing for those who joyfully give from the heart according to God’s Word. As of the beginning of December our general church budget is down $60,000. Please take some time to review your giving and pray about helping us close this gap. Also, we are going to need some funding for several aspects of our 2015 initiative. Please read below and pray about giving toward those initiatives.

Where We Have Been 2014

  • Established Grace, Growth and Greater Things as our vision slogan
  • Established Connect, Engage and Lead as our ministry environments

Where We Are Going 2015

Every year our Directional Team evaluates the previous year’s key initiatives and prays about new key initiatives moving forward. We are very excited about this year’s key initiative and hope that you will pray, support and get involved in this exciting endeavor as the Lord leads you.

2015 Key Initiative

Equipping and mobilizing our Church family with the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ so that how we LIVE-WORK-PLAY-LOVE (#LWPL) will be salt and light in Aspen, Snowmass, Mid-Valley, and Glenwood so that great joy will come to our city! How are we going to accomplish this initiative? First, this will be our Sunday sermon series as we journey through the Gospels and Acts asking God to show us how to be salt and light.

Secondly, we will be planning several community celebrations, events and outreaches. The first of these will be a Ski Day on Aspen Mountain! We have rented the Buckhorn cabin and will be throwing a ski party on Saturday, January 24, 2015! So, mark your calendars and bring the whole family and your friends for tons of fun and fellowship!

Thirdly, we have planned several ministry and training options to help equip and strengthen each of us to be salt and light in our communities. Please stay tuned for details on upcoming opportunities for men and women and our e4 Global Training Center classes starting in January.

Other Initiatives for 2015

  • Launch Internship Program (College aged students/Graduates)
  • Develop and launch Re:new Ministry (Spiritual renewal, healing and deliverance)
  • Host new Women’s Conference
  • Restructure Sunday Morning Worship Services
  • Develop national ministry partnerships in Crested Butte and Denver
  • Develop international ministry partnerships in Haiti, Sweden, England, Pakistan

As mentioned above, some of these initiatives require additional funding. We would love to talk with you about the details of all these great things coming.

I hope to see you on Christmas Eve at the Wheeler Opera House as we raise the roof celebrating Jesus together at 5pm and 7pm.

Merry Christmas and Greater Things for 2015 and beyond,

Steve Woodrow
